Pokemon TinkerCAD Challenge
Show off your TinkerCAD skills by designing an existing character from the Pokemon world to be pitched to a group of investors looking to bring in a “new character” to the storyline. You must choose an existing character to design because you will be showing a side-by-side comparison for the audience to judge how close you came to the design of the original. If you made up your own Pokemon, there would be no point of comparison. You and a partner will be creating the Pokemon from scratch. You MAY NOT use any complete designs created and downloadable by people who are not you. You may take elements from the Library or Thingiverse and modify small elements to add to your creation. So, if you need a leaf, you may find a leaf that someone else created to add to your design, but you may not just download a complete design of the Pokemon.

So, if you need a leaf, you may find a leaf that someone else created to add to your design, but you may not just download a complete design of the Pokemon.
Requirements:
- Your Pokemon must have at least 5 features from TinkerCAD to be created. So, a Pokemon ball is just not good enough.
- Your Pokemon should be as close in color as the original, but if there is slight variation, that is ok. The investors would be happy enough for the structure of the design to be close versus the color.
- Your Pokemon should reflect the work of both you and your partner. Only one of you may actually work on the design at a time, however. So, you should trade off between working on the Pokemon design and the Powerpoint presentation about the Pokemon.
- Essentially, you will be giving a Fever Pitch about your Pokemon to try to convince investors that this Pokemon should be included in the storyline. The presentation should be 2 minutes long maximum and both of you need to say something.
- The presentation can include any number of slides but you must have something about what value this Pokemon would provide, a side-by-side comparison of the original image, and give the audience a sense of the evolution of your design. Maybe screen capture an image of your Pokemon as it is being created to show the evolution. Or maybe focus on the MOST challenging aspect of the design. Or maybe tell the audience the three new techniques you have learned about using TinkerCAD during the creation of your Pokemon. Or all of the above. It is up to you, but please mention something about the process of creating your design.
- You will have four days to choose a Pokemon and create it in TinkerCAD space from scratch. You will have one day to finalize and practice your 2 minute presentation. We begin presentations of our Pokemon designs on Monday of next week.
Have Fun!!!
